The Patriots appear to be all set at the receiver position with a lot of depth, but with the reported suspension of Julian Edelman, perhaps another veteran could be added.

If that is the case, 30-year-old Eric Decker remains available and appearing on Sirius XM NFL Radio on Wednesday, he said playing for the Patriots would be a good fit for him.

“I think it would," said Decker. "[The hosts] have a great point, being drafted by Josh McDaniels in Denver, playing that one season with him. I talked with New England actually last year when I was going through the free agency process late there in June just trying to figure out what was the best direction for me. At that time it was Tennessee. That is always an option I would always love to entertain.”

Decker did add he hasn't heard from the Patriots since he became a free agent this offseason.

In 16 games with the Titans last season, the wide out recorded 54 receptions for 563 yards and a touchdown.
