Another year, another year of Patriots coordinators being targeted for head-coaching jobs.

According to Jim McBride of the Boston Globe, the Packers are expected to request permission to interview offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels and de facto defensive coordinator Brian Flores for their vacant head coaching job. Mike McCarthy was fired a few weeks ago and Joe Philbin has been the interim head coach. The Packers finished the year 6-9-1.

This likely will not be the only request both coaches receive, as they are at the top of the list for potential head coaches given their success in New England. But, it remains to be seen if No. 1 either will accept the request and No. 2 will they ultimately want to leave New England.

Green Bay is viewed as one of the better openings with Aaron Rodgers as quarterback.
