FOXBORO -- It's been an unlucky start to an NFL career for Harvey Langi.

After missing most of last season after being in a serious car accident, the second-year player is now going to have to miss more time.

According to Jeff Howe of The Athletic, Langi took a hit to the side in practice that resulted in an internal laceration. Due to concerns with his spleen he's not expected to be cleared for at least 4-5 weeks. Langi had showed some promise in the practices before getting hurt.

Langi appears to be in the mix at the linebacker spot competing with Dont'a Hightower, Elandon Roberts, Nicholas Grigsby, Marquis Flowers, Christian Sam and Ja'Whaun Bentley for playing time.
