JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Unlike this offseason, Jaguars cornerback Jalen Ramsey was pretty quiet in Sunday's 31-20 win over the Patriots, but that was because Tom Brady and the Patriots offense didn't really target him much.

Ramsey's counterparts in the secondary stepped up and held the Patriots to just 20 points, and only three in the first half.

“We just had a good game plan all-around," Ramsey said afterwards.

The out-spoken corner wouldn't take the bait on anything related to Rob Gronkowski following saying he didn't think he was that good this offseason. Gronkowski finished the game with only two catches.

Other Jaguars players called it a statement game considering the opponent, but Ramsey wouldn't say there's been a changing of the guard in the AFC.

“I don’t really know what you mean by that. We are who we are," Ramsey said to a reporter.

The reporter reminded Ramsey the Patriots won the AFC last year.

“Your point? It’s a new year," he said.

For all the talk they did leading into the game, it was a much different attitude afterwards -- a more mature, been there before attitude -- which could show up again later on in the season if the two teams do meet again.
