Earlier in the week, Jets coach Adam Gase called Stephon Gilmore the best cornerback in the league.

Listen to your team news NOW.

If you ask Jets wide out Robby Anderson, maybe it's because he gets away with holding a lot.

"He’s one of the best. Holds a lot, you know. Gets away with it a lot, you know," Anderson said to Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News. "So, I got to come with my 'A' Game, know what I’m sayin’?”

For what it's worth, last season with Gilmore in coverage Anderson finished with two catches on 10 targets for 11 yards, no touchdowns, one interception, four pass breakups, and 0.0 passer rating.

Gilmore didn't want to acknowledge Gase's comments, as he's focused on the next game.

“It’s a big compliment, but you kind of have to shift your focus to what you have to do this week to be successful and I try and be consistent each and every week and do whatever I can to help the team win and make plays for my team," he said.

Gilmore will likely see a lot of Anderson Sunday afternoon at Gillette Stadium.
