Johnny Manziel will not be in Foxboro this summer.

On Saturday, the quarterback announced through Barstool Sports that he will sign with the CFL's Hamilton Tiger-Cats, who own his rights.

"It's going to be a learning curve," Manziel said via Barstool Sports. "I think it'll be fun. It's definitely not the NFL, but there have been guys who've gone up there and have come back. A lot more [at] the quarterback position that have done it back in the day than they have done it more recently, but still there's been guys who've recently come back and forth all the time."

Some speculated he could sign with the Patriots for training camp after the organization seemed to show some interest at his workouts this spring, but obviously that won't happen.

Manziel also signed on with Barstool Sports to do a weekly podcast with Kayce Smith and his agent Erik Burkhard.
