Perhaps, the Patriots are making a big move to address their wide receiver problem.

According to NFL Media's Ian Rapoport, the Patriots are close to a deal to acquire Browns receiver Josh Gordon. The report adds it's not official, but headed that way.

Gordon caught 87 passes for 1,646 yards and nine touchdowns in 2013, but has played played in just 11 games since due to various off-field issues including mental illness.

The Browns reportedly were planning on moving on from Gordon Monday, but were willing to listen to trade offers. Gordon reportedly showed up to the facility this weekend with a hamstring injury suffered in a commercial shoot and that's when the Browns decided they were done.
