It appears Josh McDaniels will stay in New England at least another year.

According to multiple reports, the Packers are set to hire Titans offensive coordinator Matt LaFleur as their next head coach. Green Bay was the only team McDaniels reportedly interviewed with over the weekend, so that would say the Patriots' offensive coordinator will be back in 2019.

The Browns and McDaniels have been connected for months, but there has yet to be any contact from either side. McDaniels is from the Cleveland area and was said to have loved Baker Mayfield around the draft last year, but the Browns were not one of the teams to request to speak with him.

Does this mean McDaniels will eventually replace Bill Belichick?

We'll see, but it seems that possibility is getting more and more likely.
