Julian Edelman didn’t play in the first meeting of the year between the Patriots and Dolphins, as it was the final game of his four-game suspension.

Edelman will be back in action this Sunday in Miami, which means he will be on the field with one of his best friends in the game — Danny Amendola. But, despite how close the two are, Edelman wouldn’t acknowledge getting to see him this weekend.

“I’m looking forward to going and playing a division opponent,” Edelman told reporters on Friday. “So, that’s what I’m looking forward to.”

Despite being on different teams, the two still appear very close based on their social media accounts.

Amendola (knee) is officially questionable for the game, but seems likely to play. The veteran is the Dolphins’ leading receiver, even after missing last week’s game. He currently has 48 receptions for 469 yard and a touchdown. Meanwhile, Edelman has 47 catches for 535 yards and three touchdowns.

In the first meeting, Amendola had just two catches for 21 yards.
