It was learned last week, Julian Edelman spent time with Rob Ninkovich during his suspension and also according to WEEI's Christian Fauria, Edelman looked so good working with a former NFL quarterback “it’s mind-boggling.”

Now, the day of his return, it's been learned he also worked out at the Celtics' facility.

According to ESPN, the Patriots wide receiver spent time working out at the Celtics' new training facility in Brighton. He spent a number of mornings around the Celtics' training staff and used the team's weight room. Edelman was not allowed at the Patriots facility until Monday.

The 32-year-old also played ping pong against Gordon Hayward.

"He's a good player," Hayward said, via text. "I haven't played against someone who moved like he did when he played. He was all over the place and low to the ground."

Edelman will make his return Thursday night against the Colts.
