If the sexual assault and rape allegations against Antonio Brown came out before Tuesday, he may have not have been a Patriot.

Listen to your team news NOW.

According to NFL Media's Ian Rapoport, Patriots owner Robert Kraft would not have signed off on the deal had the team known about the lawsuit coming against the wide receiver.

Brown's accuser, Britney Taylor, is said to meet with the NFL on Monday after she got married over the weekend. The league is investigating the matter and it is still not out of the question for him to be placed on the Commissioner's Exempt list.

When Bill Belichick spoke this week he said the organization is taking this situation seriously "through all levels."

Brown is expected to play Sunday against the Dolphins.
