Malcolm Mitchell officially retired from the NFL last March after years of knee issues dating back to high school that ultimately didn't allow him to stay on the field.

Listen to your team news NOW.

Mitchell had a great rookie season with the Patriots in 2016, but missed all of 2017 with a knee injury. The knee issues lingered and had an offseason procedure, but it didn't work and he was waived by the Patriots in August of 2018.

After not getting claimed or healthy, Mitchell officially retired March 23 of this year.

It appears leaving the game has been tough on the 26-year-old, which he showcased in a short film released on his Instagram page Monday night. It appears there will be more to come and this is part one.

In 2016, Mitchell finished with 32 catches for 401 yards and four touchdowns.
