FOXBORO -- The Patriots held their first practice of the week on Wednesday on the upper grass fields behind Gillette Stadium.

The practice was held without jerseys, which made taking attendance hard, but offensive tackle Marcus Cannon was not spotted. Cannon left Sunday's game against the Chiefs with a head injury.

New England will release its first injury report of the week later in the day.

The team will practice Thursday and Friday before departing for Sunday's game against the Bears.
