It seems the Red Sox would like to shed some salary this offseason and one of the ways to do that is to trade away a big contract.

Listen to your team news NOW.

One of those could be David Price, and there are teams interested.

According to MLB.com's Mark Feinsand, the Padres, Cardinals, White Sox, Reds, and Angels have all shown varying degrees of interest in the left-hander. Price is owed $32 million each of the next three years, so it could be seen why the Red Sox would want to get that off their books.

It's been speculated the team would need to attach a young player to Price for a deal to be made, but the report says the Red Sox have no interest in that, especially with a player like Andrew Benintendi.

Price has made just 63 starts over the past three seasons, including just 22 last year because of elbow and wrist injuries.
