FOXBORO -- Even though the Patriots are still in the playoffs, they are already looking ahead to 2019.

On Tuesday, they signed center Jake Eldrenkamp to a future/reserve contract and then on Wednesday they signed defensive tackle David Parry to a future/reserve contract. Both moves were on the NFL transaction wire.

Eldrenkamp went undrafted out of Washington in 2017. He spent most of his rookie year on the Rams’ practice squad and most of 2018 on the Browns’ practice squad.

Parry was a fifth-round pick in the 2015 draft by the Colts. He started all 32 games during his two seasons with the team, but then has bounced around the league the last two seasons.

There will be quite a few more of these moves in the coming week, especially right after the season ends.
