KANSAS CITY -- The Patriots will play in their third straight Super Bowl after a thrilling 37-31 overtime win over the Chiefs Sunday at Arrowhead Stadium, but for one member of the team this is his first.

For the last two years, Jason McCourty has been his twin brother Devin's handler so to speak during the week. He's handled all the family ticket requests and other logistics that go into the week. That won't be the case this year, as Jason said they will have to find someone else now that he's on the Patriots with his brother.

“Surreal," Jason McCourty said. "Oh, man. However this thing shook out and when I look up being a kid, playing Pop Warner football along side my twin brother, I never could have imagined being here in this moment, getting an opportunity to go to the Super Bowl. You just look up and you’re like, ‘Man, God is good.’

"I couldn’t have planned this out for myself, but he saw so much more for me and the guys in this locker room. It’s just such a blessing to get to this point in our professional careers, it’s something special.”

Jason was rocking his hat and t-shirt proudly in the locker room Sunday night.

“After winning the division, Josh McDaniels came up to me and said, ‘You know there’s another hat and t-shirt out there that we could achieve.’" he said. "That was new to me. I didn’t know you could scoop up two hats and two t-shirts in one season. I am pretty excited. If you guys happen to run into me tomorrow, I’ll probably have on the same hat and t-shirt. I will probably sleep in it.”

The Patriots will play the Rams Feb. 3 in Atlanta.
