By all accounts, the Patriots had one of the better drafts in the NFL as they added several players who likely will make impacts this coming season.

In a Patriots.com video, a few of them shared their feelings on what it was like to get the call from the team letting them know they would hear their names called by the defending Super Bowl champs.

Rookie minicamp is set for May 10-12.

Joejuan Williams: “My initial reaction was someone was playing with me. I was looking at the ticker and it said the Patriots didn’t have a pick for five more picks, so I was like why is a Foxboro number calling me? I was on the phone and they said to hold on, they were going to trade up. Two seconds later, I saw Patriots are trading up. I was like, ‘This is real.’”

Chase Winovich: “Receiving that phone call and realizing one of the greatest football coaches of all time believed in me enough to pick me with a pick that early was really special. At that moment, I immediately started thinking when can we get to work? Let’s do this thing."

Damien Harris: “It was just one of those surreal moments when my name got called on the TV. A lot of emotions ran through my head. Thankfulness, just thinking about everything that it took for me to get here.”

Yodny Cajuste: "As the picks went, I was like when is my name going to get called? And then the draft [Day 2] is nearly over, and all of a sudden I look at my phone and it says Foxboro, MA. I’m like, ‘This can’t be.’”
