On the day of the NFL draft, ESPN's Mel Kiper Jr. has released his final mock draft.

The insider has the Patriots selecting Clemson defensive end Clelin Ferrell with pick No. 32. He's been projected by many to go much higher, so if he did fall to them it would be a good selection.

While he played defensive end in college, many see him being able to play inside as well. This would seem to appeal to Bill Belichick with how much he values versatility.

In four seasons at Clemson, Ferrell finished with 166 tackles, 50.5 for loss, and 27 sacks. His best season came last fall when he recorded 55 tackles, including 20 for loss, and 11.5 sacks.

Overall, the Patriots have 12 selections and six in the top 101.
