Like Wednesday, Thursday appears to be a busy day for the Patriots.

On top of hosting tight end Noah Fant, according to NFL Media's Tom Pelissero, wide receivers A.J. Brown and Deebo Samuel are also in for visits. Both are expected to go in Round 1 or Round 2.

Brown was drafted by the Padres in the 2016 MLB draft, so he’s clearly an athlete. The 6-foot wide out has good hands, but the one knock on his game is his speed translating to the NFL. At Ole Miss this past fall, he had 85 catches for 1,320 yards and six touchdowns.

Samuel has a lot of traits the Patriots value in their wide outs — experience in the slot and also very quick in and out of breaks. Samuel also has had a lot of success in the return game, which could be something the Patriots will be looking for. At South Carolina last season, he finished with 62 receptions for 882 yards and 11 touchdowns.

With the current pass-catching depth chart, it appears the Patriots are doing what they can to get Tom Brady more weapons.
