FOXBORO -- Bill Belichick wouldn't talk about new wide receiver Josh Gordon, but his new teammates did.

"He’s a really good player and it’s good to have him here," Rob Gronkowski said.

The Patriots saw first hand back in 2013 how good Gordon is, as he recorded seven receptions for 151 yards and a touchdown in a game against the Patriots in Cleveland.

“I know he was a monster then, and he’s still a monster now,” linebacker Dont'a Hightower said.

Although Gordon didn't speak to the media on Wednesday, we did see his locker in the Patriots locker room is located right next to Tom Brady's. The Patriots locker room's over the years have been known to be very close, with all the players getting along well. This could help Gordon get his career back on track.

“I’m not a counselor or nothing,” Dont'a Hightower said. “We’re teammates. We’re here to help. I’ll leave it at that.”

He added: "‘Do your job’ is the big mantra that’s pretty strong here. I’m sure that [Gordon]’s had that conversation with the coach and all that other good stuff. I think that it’s all about him getting comfortable.”

Gordon was limited in practice Wednesday with a hamstring injury, but he still could potentially play Sunday in Detroit.
