With the Lions 0-2 and things not going well at all for Matt Patricia in Detroit, many are already looking past the Lions this coming Sunday night.

Not Tom Brady, as he isn't taking the team lightly, especially after the way New England played Sunday.

“If you don’t play good, every team is good in the NFL," Brady said Monday on Kirk & Callahan with Gerry Callahan and Mike Mutnansky. "If we play the way we played yesterday, we don’t have any chances to win. I think that is what it comes down to. We have to play a lot better in all areas. I think we are capable of doing it. It is just a matter of getting the job done. Detroit, they will be ready to go. It’s a big game for them. It’s a big game for us. It’s still early and we’re still trying to figure out things we need to do to consistently win. The Jets beat them bad, but that was a weird game. There were a lot of crazy things that happened.

"… This isn’t a high school football team. These guys are extremely talented. They have a lot of great players. They have a great offense. They have a good defensive scheme. We better have the best week of preparation we can and we have to go down there and try and get a win.”

The quarterback also downplayed the Patriots knowing Patricia's tendencies, as it goes both ways.

“We probably know how they are coached and what they are looking at and so forth. The same goes on the other side," he said. "Matt has coached against us for a long time too. He knows our players. I think it goes both ways. It is going to come down to execution, I think."
