There's no question the Patriots are in the market for receivers this offseason, but they couldn't land one of their first targets.

According to multiple reports, wide receiver Adam Humphries has signed with the Titans for four years and $36 million, and ESPN's Dianna Russini adds the Patriots had been bidding against the Titans "all day."

The 25-year-old finished last season with 76 receptions for 816 yards and five touchdowns, while also being Tampa's punt returner. Many thought he would fit in perfectly with the Patriots.

With Desean Jackson also off the board, it's likely the Patriots' focus will now shift to Golden Tate.
