The Patriots are continuing the process of trying to replace Trey Flowers.

According to Pro Football Talk, former Chiefs defensive end Allen Bailey will visit with the Patriots on Thursday. The 29-year-old was the Chiefs' third-round pick in 2011 and has been a starter for the last five years. In 16 games this past season, he totaled 38 tackles and six sacks.

Over his eight-year career, he has a total of 19.5 sacks.

Bailey obviously isn't at the same level as Flowers, but he won't come even close to the cost and adding a few of these types of players appears to be the route the Patriots are going. It's also worth noting Bailey plays on the inside much more than Flowers does.

The Patriots also traded for Michael Bennett last week and have re-signed John Simon.
