ATLANTA -- There's always a surprise retirement after most seasons, and perhaps Devin McCourty could be one this year.

Speaking at Super Bowl Opening Night, McCourty was asked if winning a Super Bowl this year could make him retire.

“I don’t know for sure,” McCourty said. “I do look at it if we can win this game, win it with my brother, I don’t know what else I could do that would top that. I’m just trying to make sure I enjoy this season and enjoy these last couple of days with these guys.”

This is his ninth season with the Patriots and if the team wins it would be his third Super Bowl.

The McCourty twins are 31 years old. Devin is under contract through next season, while Jason is a free agent after this season.
