FOXBORO -- Devin McCourty hasn't missed a game since December of the 2015 season, and it looks like the streak will continue.

After suffering a concussion against the Jets in the regular-season finale, McCourty missed the two practices last week during the Patriots' bye. But, the safety was back at practice Wednesday as a limited participant, and was removed from the injury report entirely on Thursday.

This indicates he's passed the NFL's concussion protocol and will be ready to go Sunday against the Chargers.

“I’ve been good,” McCourty said. “Any time you get injured, [you are] just working to try to get back out there this week. So it’s felt good to be out there this week with the guys practicing and getting ready to go play in a playoff game.”

With all the weapons the Chargers have in the passing game, it will be a huge boost for the Patriots defense to get its captain back on the field.
