FOXBORO -- Just seconds apart, both Tom Brady and Julian Edelman ended their media sessions after questions regarding Alex Guerrero.

Brady was asked if he thought it was fair some were connecting Guerrero to Edelman following his four-game ban.

"I have no comment, that is just ridiculous," he said. "I'm out."

Just a few feet away, Edelman was also asked a question about Guerrero and the receiver's relationship with him following the statement he put out after Edelman's suspension became public.

“You know, what’s in the past is in the past," he said. "I love Alex and ultimately I am worried about just going out here and playing football. I am not here to talk about and make a headline on something. I am just here playing football, buddy.”

Edelman then walked away after speaking for just over five minutes.

Just hours after Edelman's suspension was reported, Guerrero released a statement clearing his name and wasn't too warm towards Edelman.

“I’ve known Julian since his rookie year and he is a phenomenal athlete who takes his training seriously—it’s disappointing to hear today’s news,” Guerrero said in the statement. “Elite athletes sometimes work with multiple coaches and health professionals as part of their off-season training.”

“Here at our facility, we take a natural, holistic, appropriate and, above all, legal approach to training and recovery for all of our clients. And anyone who would suggest otherwise is irresponsible and just plain wrong.”

Edelman has been a frequent visitor to TB12 in the past and noted he was there a lot when rehabbing his ACL last season.
