FOXBORO -- Roughly three-quarters of the way through Patriots practice Tuesday, things didn't look great for Phillip Dorsett.

The wide out was running a crossing route over the middle of the field during 11-on-11 work and he went down to the ground in a hurry. The defender immediately motioned for the training staff and they tended to him on the ground for just shy of a minute.

Dorsett then slowly walked to the medical tent with two training staff members and after a few minutes inside began pacing around the tent. Once he sat on a Gatorade cooler, a few members of the organization came over to check on him, including Nick Caserio.

Then as practice came to a close, he put his helmet on and began catching passes from a Patriots staffer. Although he didn't run any routes and stayed in one place, it was a positive development.

He then walked off the field without a trainer and down the steps towards the facility. After a few minutes passed, he re-appeared speaking to perhaps a family member on the field and then walked down the steps again.

Dorsett indicated to Mike Giardi he was "all right."

His situation is certainly worth watching given his importance to the offense with the current receiver situation.

"You never like to see it and everyone wanted to go over to see how he was doing because he's been doing so well in the spring and in training camp," Tom Brady said. "Hopefully he's OK. I certainly hope is he. He has a great opportunity ahead of him. I hope he takes advantage of it."

Running backs Sony Michel and Rex Burkhead, offensive tackle Marcus Cannon, linebacker Harvey Langi and special teamer Matthew Slater were completely absent, while defensive end Trey Flowers, cornerbacks Ryan Lewis and Duke Dawson and receiver Kenny Britt all were limited.

Meanwhile, Marquis Flowers and Trent Harris left with apparent injuries.
