In the grand scheme of things, it was a meaningless play, but it cost Patriots safety Duron Harmon a lot of money.

With 38 seconds left in Sunday's win over the Texans, DeAndre Hopkins was targeted on a deep pass up the sideline and Harmon came in to deliver a hit, but it was high and hit Hopkins in the head. Harmon was flagged for an unnecessary roughness penalty and was also fined for the play.

According to ESPN's Mike Reiss, Harmon was fined $26,739 for the hit.

“I felt like it was a clean tackle," Harmon said after the game. "I mean, in all honesty I felt like it was shoulder. My shoulder hit his back, you know what I am saying. It is a bang-bang play. We’ll see obviously when they review it, but I feel like it was a clean tackle.”

Harmon and the Patriots will take on the Jaguars in Jacksonville Sunday afternoon.
