Since the Patriots are typically always in the divisional round of the playoffs, this news is noteworthy.

On Wednesday, it was learned the NFL is changing its start times for the Sunday divisional round games. They will now start at 3 and 6:30 p.m., which is what they are for the championship games the weekend after. Until now, the games have been at 1 and 4 p.m. Saturday's start times will remain the same.

The Patriots hosted the Chargers at 1 p.m. on divisional round Sunday this past year.

Also, the NFL dropped the single-header rule, meaning all markets will get at least three Sunday afternoon games during the regular season.
