It's a little late for the Saints, but what happened in the NFC championship game will never happen again.

At the NFL owners meetings, the NFL passed a rule change to make pass interference penalties, both calls and non-calls, subject to a coaches' challenge starting next season. This will pertain to both offensive and defensive pass interference penalties.

The same replay procedures will be in play with the coaches challenging until the final two minutes of each half and then all plays are subject to review by the booth.

Only one team voted against the new rule.
