After a week of not knowing what was going to happen, the Patriots have a kicker for Sunday against the Chiefs, and likely for the rest of the season.

Listen to your team news NOW.

According to NFL Media's Ian Rapoport, the team is expected to re-sign Nick Folk and he will be ready to kick Sunday.

The veteran was released last week after needing an appendectomy and the team needing a roster spot for Kai Forbath. Forbath kicked against Houston, but was released on Monday. After a week of questions, Folk ultimately kicked for the team Friday and showed he was healthy enough to be brought back.

In three games with the Patriots, Folk was 7-for-9 on field goals and 3-for-3 on extra points. The two misses came on field goal attempts of 40-plus yards and in miserable conditions against the Cowboys.

Folk replaced Mike Nugent who was released after trying to replace Stephen Gostkowski after he landed on injured reserve.
