Could there be a Texans-Patriots rivalry brewing?

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Patriots have filed tampering charges against the Texans for attempting to hire Nick Caserio for their open GM position.

It is worth noting Jack Easterby, now in the Houston front office, was at the Patriots’ Super Bowl ring ceremony last week, and may have something to do with the claim.

Schefter adds, the NFL’s anti-tampering policy states, “any interference by a member club with the employer-employee relationship of another club or any attempt by a club to impermissibly induce a person to seek employment with that club or with the NFL” is impermissible.

The NFL is now expected to gather information to open an investigation.

The two franchises have been very respectful of one another with Bill O’Brien’s connection to New England, but perhaps this changes things.
