The Bill Belichick-Nick Saban connection continues.

Listen to your team news NOW.

With Patriots special teams/wide receivers coach Joe Judge becoming the head coach of the Giants this offseason, it created a few voids on the coaching staff.

Assuming assistant special teams coordinator Cameron Achord takes over for Judge leading the special teams, there will be an opening for his spot and it appears that has been filled.

According to Bruce Feldman of The Athletic, former Alabama special teams analyst Joe Houston will become the Patriots' assistant special teams coordinator. Last year was Houston's first season working for Saban after spending two years at Iowa State.

Houston, a former USC kicker, is regarded as one of the up-and-coming special teams coaches.

The Patriots will have quite a bit of turnover on the coaching staff next season with Judge, Dante Scarnecchia and Bret Bielema all departing.
