It was a short stay for defensive tackle Albert Huggins on the Patriots' 53-man roster.

Listen to your team news NOW.

According to ESPN's Field Yates, Huggins, who was claimed off waivers by the team on Monday, has been waived in order to make room for kicker Nick Folk. The Patriots do have an open spot on the practice squad, so perhaps the undrafted rookie out of Clemson will stick around.

Folk reportedly worked out for the team Friday and was deemed healthy enough to kick after needing an appendectomy last week. Kai Forbath took his place on the roster last Sunday against the Texans.

The Patriots will host the Chiefs Sunday at Gillette Stadium.
