Tony Romo is going to be calling football games on CBS for a long time and making a lot of money while doing it.

Listen to your team news NOW.

According to Andrew Marchand of the New York Post, the former Cowboys quarterback signed a long-term deal with the network that will pay him around $17 million per year, and likely more than $100 million over the length of the contract.

CBS got to Romo before ESPN could make any sort of formal offer.

Romo is now making roughly $1 million per game, which is crazy to think about, especially since he does one of the best games every week. Would people really not watch one of the best NFL games if Romo wasn't on the call?

Some players, including Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas, don't seem too thrilled that Romo is making more money than almost the entire league.

The 39-year-old began calling games in 2017.
