EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- The following Patriots players are inactive for Sunday's game against the Jets: tight end Dwayne Allen, defensive end Keionta Davis, offensive lineman Matt Tobin, cornerback Duke Dawson, defensive end Derek Rivers, offensive lineman James Ferentz, and defensive back Nate Ebner.

Allen was the only player to be ruled out on Friday, while Ebner was questionable with a knee injury. The other players are healthy inactives.

This means cornerback Obi Melifonwu will make his Patriots debut, while Dawson will not play even though he was activated off injured reserve during the bye week. Melifonwu was signed Nov. 5, but it's unclear what role he will have within the defense.

There aren't any real huge surprises as the team is the healthiest it has been in a long time.

As expected, Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski are active and the Patriots offense is as close to full strength as it has been in quite some time with Gronkowski returning after missing three out of the last four games.
