Although the Red Sox roughed up Felix Hernandez for 10 runs in 2 1/3 innings, it wasn't all good news. After hitting a two-run homer in the second inning, Pablo Sandoval was hit in the right elbow with a Hernandez fastball in his next at-bat. Although the third baseman stayed in the game and scored on Alejandro De Aza's home run, he left the game before the Red Sox took the field for the top of the fourth. The Red Sox called it a right elbow contusion and acting manager Torey Lovullo said the X-rays came back negative. He's day-to-day. Josh Rutledge took his place in the order and played second base, while Brock Holt shifted over to the third base. Sandoval's homer was his 10th of the season. For more Red Sox news, visit
