Gillette Stadium hosted the PLL (Premier Lacrosse League) this weekend, and naturally Bill Belichick was on hand to take in the action.

The Patriots coach joined the NBC Sports Network broadcast where he related lacrosse to other sports, like football. Belichick also was asked which position Tom Brady would play if he played lacrosse and his answer was an easy one.

“Goalie," he said. "You need to be able to run here. I think some of our players — Devin McCourty and Pat Chung — guys like that who are fast and have good quickness could play at 200, 205, 210 pounds that they would be pretty tough. I think [Tedy> Bruschi would have been a good defenseman. Rodney Harrison would have been pretty good. Mike Vrabel, guys that are long and tough.”

Belichick has been a huge fan of lacrosse ever since he played in high school at Phillips Andover.

The Patriots will host mandatory minicamp this week.
