FOXBORO -- Josh Gordon was the theme of Bill Belichick's Monday press conference.

Listen to your team news NOW.

First, he was asked if he met with Gordon Monday?

"I meet with the players every day," he said.

Was he excited about the opportunity to return to football?

"I released a statement on that," Belichick said. "I have nothing to add to it. That is where we're at."

What about physically?

"I think I have already covered all that," he said.

Belichick then joked around with reporters.

"Did you get a copy of the statement? ... Sorry, I don't do MyFace, but we're happy to give you a copy of it," he said with a smile. "That is where I am at."

Lastly, the coach was asked about the statement and how vague it was about Gordon's future.

"He hasn't even been on the field yet," Belichick said. "I think I covered it. There is nothing more to add.

"Is there another line of questioning, or can the witness step down now?"

Gordon was present in the Patriots locker room, but it's unlikely he practices with the team considering he is on NFI.
