Bill Belichick and Nick Saban have been very friendly for quite some time, and their careers sort of mirror each other as two of the best coaches in football history.

Listen to your team news NOW.

NFL Films and HBO had a great idea: get the two together on camera for a football conversation, which they have at least once a year.

This was able to happen last spring at the Alabama pro day and the four-hour conversation between Saban's office and then home largely because of Belichick's admiration and respect for NFL Films. It was then put together for a documentary called, “Belichick & Saban: The Art of Coaching."

It will debut Tuesday, Dec. 10 on HBO, but a screening was shown Tuesday night at Gillette Stadium.

The documentary is a must-watch for Patriots fans, which includes some great insight into the coach's personal life over the years, how he and Saban get along so well, and also some new nuggets from his time with the Patriots.

Some highlights include:

--  Belichick admitting the Patriots defense was (expletive) for the first two-thirds of last season.

-- Belichick hinting the Patriots may have been better off losing a game during the 2007 season.

-- Both Belichick and Saban reflecting on games where coaching cost their teams games -- The Miami Miracle and the Kick Six.

-- Belichick saying one of the greatest days of his coaching career was when Saban left Miami for Alabama.

-- Footage of Belichick at his daughter Amanda's wedding, as well as Saban at his daughter's wedding.

Below is a trailer for it.
