The Patriots have filled Antonio Brown's roster spot.

Listen to your team news NOW.

According to @NFLDeutschland, the official NFL German Twitter account, the Patriots have promoted fullback Jakob Johnson from the practice squad. This was necessary with James Develin already being out for Sunday with a neck injury, while tight ends Ryan Izzo and Matt LaCosse are both questionable.

Johnson, who joined the Patriots this summer as part of the International Player Pathway Program, was very impressive in training camp and the preseason and makes for a pretty cool story.

The Patriots will host the Jets Sunday afternoon.
