FOXBORO -- The following Patriots players are inactive for Thursday's game against the Colts: cornerback Cyrus Jones, offensive lineman Cole Croston, offensive lineman Ted Karras, cornerback Eric Rowe, defensive lineman Geneo Grissom, defensive end Derek Rivers and defensive end Keionta Davis.

Julian Edelman is active following his four-game suspension and so is Rob Gronkowski after being listed as questionable with an ankle injury. Meanwhile, Jacob Hollister is active for just the second time this season.

One of the bigger questions is who returns punts with Jones inactive. Edelman seems to be the likely option even though this is his first meaningful game since Super Bowl LI. Patrick Chung is another option, but it appears it will be Edelman despite missing so much time.

Newcomer John Simon is active for a second straight game over Rivers and Davis. It's also a revenge game of sorts for him as he was released by the Colts this summer. Also for the second straight game Brian Schwenke is active over Karras.

Kickoff is set for 8:20 p.m.
