DETROIT -- The following Patriots players are inactive for Sunday's game against the Lions: tight end Jacob Hollister, defensive end Trey Flowers, safety Patrick Chung, cornerback Eric Rowe, offensive lineman Cole Croston, offensive lineman Brian Schwenke and wide receiver Josh Gordon.

Hollister was ruled out Friday with a chest injury, while Chung, Flowers and Rowe were downgraded Saturday night.

Gordon was the biggest question going in. He went through a warmup on the field before the game, but spent most of his time with character coach Jack Easterby catching passes. It seems likely he will be active next week after getting a full week in the organization under his belt. The Patriots will have just three true wide receivers for the game in Chris Hogan, Phillip Dorsett and Cordarrelle Patterson.

Marcus Cannon is active after missing last week with a calf injury. LaAdrian Waddle will be the swing tackle.

J.C. Jackson, Keion Crossen and Derek Rivers are all active and will be making their NFL debuts.
