JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The following Patriots players are inactive for Sunday's AFC title game rematch against the Jaguars: offensive tackle Marcus Cannon, cornerback Keion Crossen, defensive end Derek Rivers, cornerback J.C. Jackson, running back Kenjon Barner, wide receiver Corey Coleman and offensive lineman Brian Schwenke.

Cannon and Crossen were ruled out Saturday night, as they didn't make the trip.

This means Rex Burkhead and Sony Michel will both be active, which makes it clear why Barner isn't needed at running back. But, there is still a need for a punt returner and many expected Barner to be that guy. Patrick Chung seems to be the next man up and potentially Cordarrelle Patterson as he had limited reps in the preseason game against the Panthers.

There weren't any major surprises, but it is noteworthy Rivers is inactive for a second straight game and Keionta Davis is active once again.

New England will have only Chris Hogan, Phillip Dorsett, Patterson as depth at wide out with Matthew Slater in case of an emergency.

For Jacksonville, running back Leonard Fournette is inactive.
