Over the last few weeks, there have been lots of reports connecting the Patriots to Lamar Jackson, but nothing really specific -- until Wednesday.

Speaking to reporters in Dallas in advance of the draft, Jackson revealed he met with the Patriots twice. Once at the Gillette Stadium facility for an official visit and also in South Florida when offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels put him through a private workout.

NFL Media's Ian Rapoport added the Patriots' interest in him is legit.

If the Patriots were to draft him it likely would be at No. 23 overall or trading up a few spots.

Of course, the Patriots are in need of a quarterback as they are seeking the potential successor of Tom Brady.
