The Patriots continue to bargain shop.

According to NFL Media's Ian Rapoport, the Patriots will sign wide receiver Bruce Ellington to a one-year deal. He reportedly was in Foxboro for a visit Thursday, so the organization liked what it saw.

Ellington has played for three teams in his four years in the league with his best coming in 2017 when he had 29 catches for 330 yards and two touchdowns with the Texans. He also has kick and punt return experience, which is an added bonus.

The 28-year-old spent time with both Houston and Detroit last year and totaled 31 receptions for 224 yards and a touchdown.

It is worth noting he's battled hamstring issues for the majority of his career.

Right now, the Patriots have Julian Edelman, Phillip Dorsett, Matthew Slater, Ellington, Braxton Berrios and Damoun Patterson currently signed at wide receiver for next season.

More moves should be expected.
