Isaiah Wynn indicates he's 100 percent and could start Week 1
NASHVILLE -- Will Isaiah Wynn be ready to start Week 1?
Listen to your team news NOW.Based on what we've seen so far in training camp, it is anyone's guess.
The second-year player is coming off of missing all of last season with an Achilles injury and it carried over into the summer as he did not participate in live contract drills until this week at Gillette Stadium.
Wynn seemed to take a step back Wednesday in Tennessee against the Titans when he only did the first rep of every period and then Dan Skipper took over. He also did not participate in 1-on-1 drills.
But, following the session Wynn confirmed to reporters he is 100 percent and is preparing himself to be ready for Week 1.
“Yeah, I’m working out here every day to get prepared for that," Wynn said. "Whatever they need me for, I’m here for.”
Wynn and Skipper have worked closely the last several weeks.
“It’s been good," he said. "Being able to pick his brains because this is, I believe, Year 3 for him and learn from him as well as when I’m not in, being able to kind of hear from him what he seeing out there, it’s been real good.”
The left tackle position is one of the biggest questions on the entire roster, as besides Wynn and Skipper there really are no other options, unless the team decides to slide guard Joe Thuney to tackle like he played in college.
