FOXBORO -- There's a reason why cornerback Jonathan Jones wasn't at Patriots practice on Wednesday -- he's been placed on injured reserve.

The team made the move official late Wednesday, as he suffered an ankle/foot injury in the closing minutes of the divisional round win over the Titans. For the corresponding move, the Patriots re-signed wide receiver Bernard Reedy.

Reedy has spent a good amount of time with the team this season. He originally signed to the practice squad on Nov. 22, 2017, and then was elevated to the 53-man roster on Dec. 2, before being released on Dec. 13. Finally, he-signed to the practice squad on Dec. 19 and released Jan. 3.

It doesn't appear Reedy would be active for the game and could be a case of the Patriots seeing what their injury situation looks like later in the week and promoting offensive tackle Jason King if LaAdrian Waddle cannot go, or Geneo Grissom for special teams help.

Jones was the No. 4 cornerback and a core special-teamer.
