FOXBORO -- The Patriots held their first and only practice of the bye week Wednesday on the upper grass fields behind Gillette Stadium in full pads.

Every player was present, except for tight end Dwayne Allen who is reportedly going to miss a few games with a knee injury.

This means after leaving Sunday's game with an ankle injury Julian Edelman was present and after missing the game altogether, Rob Gronkowski was also present.

There was also a new defensive player, No. 50. The team had an open roster spot following the moves on Tuesday, which including activating Duke Dawson and releasing Nicholas Grigsby and Kenjon Barner. His identity will likely be known later in the day.

Since it's the bye week, there is no injury report.

The team is off until next Monday.
