FOXBORO -- The Patriots had perfect attendance at the start of practice Thursday afternoon on the lower grass field behind Gillette Stadium.

This means Rex Burkhead, who was officially listed as a DNP on Wednesday's injury report, was present. Although he was on the field with the rest of the team in full pads, he didn't seem to participate in any of the individual drills the media saw. This could mean he will once again be listed as "did not participate."

Sony Michel, who was limited according to Wednesday's injury report, was participating in the drills, but they were non-contact. It will be interesting to see what the team does with Michel, as they need him on the field, but it also is just Week 2.

The Patriots will practice once more Friday before traveling to Jacksonville for a rematch of the AFC championship.
